What could be more fundamental to the quality of life than good quality seed that facilitates increased yields and higher quality products to help ensure food security? I believe this is fundamentally important.”
John Schoenecker is the Director of Intellectual Property AMPA at HM.CLAUSE. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Horticulture and Soil Science, John joined the Harris Moran Seed Company and spent the last 26 years working in sales, marketing and legal affairs. During this time he also assisted in the development of PC-based product data systems integrated to serve market communications and customers’ needs. John spent eight years in the seed business focusing on regulatory and legal affairs before assuming the position of Director of Intellectual Property AMPA for 6 years.
John is Chairman of the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) and has represented ASTA on the Board of the International Seed Federation (ISF) Vegetable and Ornamental Section for 6 years. He served as chair of the Vegetable and Flower division and the Emerging Issues Sub-committee of the Phytosanitary Committee and is active in the IPR committee.
