In partnership with the Yolo food bank, HM CLAUSE provides opportunities for volunteers to harvest produce weekly to help provide up to one million pounds of produce. With a grant from the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, the food bank created a program to harvest the fresh produce from local growers that exceed their harvest needs. Food bank volunteers gather every Monday and Wednesday to harvest produce that might otherwise go to waste. in order to provide fresh produce for its clients. On Wednesday, August 2nd, the food bank harvested 777 pounds of melons to help feed low income families.
